• Spell To Ward Off Nosy Neighbors

    Ingredients

    red wine vinegar
    bay leaves
    cinnamon
    salt
    key from a sardine can
    small mirror

Remember Gladys in Bewitched? Do you have a busybody living next door to you? Here's what to do. Make a mixture using one cup of red wine vinegar, nine bay leaves, a teaspoon of cinnamon, and three pinches of salt. This is an old banishing formula from the witches' book of shadows. Use the key from a sardine can to stir the mixture. The key symbolizes the nature of the relationship, since unfortunately in modern urban settings our homes are thrust right on top of one another and we live like sardines in a can. The key is also an ancient tool witches used to conduct magical energy. Remember Benjamin Franklin using the key on the kite to harness the electricity in lightning? (Franklin, by the way, was a Freemason and known to be a member of a secret magical order.) One of the eight tools of the witches is the athame or double-edged blade. It is used to represent the will. A key was and often still is substituted for an athame. Hold the key in your right hand, and as you stir the brew, chant, Busybody, keep away from me, Mind your business. So mote it be. "So mote it be" is the witches' equivalent to "amen" and is usually said at the end of spells to give them power. The literal meaning is "so may it be" or "may it come to pass."

This is a great formula to stop gossip or slander as well. Now take a small mirror and dip it in the brew. Place the mirror in a corner of one of your windows or by your front door. If you have a mirrored peephole on the door, you should splash the mixture over it. Mirrors deflect negative energy from us and also keep people from seeing anything but their own business.

    Cleansing Bath Spell

    Ingredients

    bay leaves
    1 lemon
    flour
    sea salt

This recipe is used to unhex or unvex yourself. It does not matter whether the negative energy is coming from an internal source or an external source. It can also be used to remove any sort of obstacle from your path. Simply add nine bay leaves, the juice of a whole lemon, three fistfuls of sea salt, and a sprinkling of flour to a full tub. Three and nine are numbers of completion. You want to make sure the cleansing is thorough.

Bay is ruled by the Sun and is used for protection and purification. In ancient Greece, the priestesses of the Delphic oracle would chew bay leaves to open their psychic channels. As you sit in the tub, chew on a bay leaf and meditate on the source of your problems. Answers or messages should come. In Rome, bay was used to ward off evil and is still burned or scattered in modern exorcism rites. During the Middle Ages, bay was used to protect against witchcraft. You can carry three leaves in your pocket if you feel someone is actively working magic against you. Flour is used for purification and stabilization. The combination of lemon and salt is used to drive away evil. You must sit in the tub for at least ten minutes and immerse yourself completely three times. Do not towel off but allow yourself to air dry.

    Confidence Spell
    By: Wynn

    You will need:

A lion head charm (buy or make one)
    Yellow candle
Essential oil of rose, orange, or hazel

Buy, or make, a charm that resembles a lion's head. (It can be as simple as you want it to be as long as you know what it is.) Pass it three times through the flame of a yellow candle, meditating on your esteem and the respect you truly deserve. Then infuse the charm with your energy by anointing it with the oil. Wear it (on a chain or in your pocket, wherever!) on you, and when you see or touch it, you will feel your confidence build within you.

I know it's hard to find a lion's head charm, and you may wonder what the easiest way would be to make one. I would suggest taking a flat, smooth stone, clean it off, and use either orange paint or a thin permanent orange marker to draw a simple lion head on it. This way it will be fire-proof and you can keep it in your pocket.

    Cold Remedy Spell

Take one cup of the Cold Remedy Infusion and pour into running bath water. Light a healing candle and place it at the far end of your bathtub. Or whichever one is furthest away from the shower curtain. Put on some inspirational music, turn off the lights and get into the bathtub.

While you are soaking, imagine your illness leaving your body and being
absorbed by the bath water. Relax and breathe deeply. Do this for about 20 minutes.

Then take a quick shower imagining that if there is any illness left over, it will be washed away. When you are done with your shower, say:
"My illness is gone. I am healthy." Know this in your heart to be true.

    Cold Remedy Infusion

An infusion is a tea. They can be made for drinking, put into baths, used for washing crystal balls, etc. The following infusion is used for
drinking, but it can also be added to a bath. See Cold Remedy Spell.

For the following infusion, I use a good amount of herbs. You can omit any of the following herbs from this infusion that you wish. For example, if you don't have these symptoms or are allergic to some of these herbs.

Also, using the following method you will have enough herbs for 4 cups of tea. You can do one of two things. You can make yourself a cup at a time and save the rest of the herbs in a bag or jar. Or, you can use my method.

When I get a cold, the last thing I feel like doing is getting out of bed.
It would be nice to have a butler and ring a little bell and be served. But let's face it, this is the 'real' world and we have to do things for
ourselves. Even when we are sick. So, make 4 cups of tea, put it in a thermos and place it somewhere close to your bed. Simple, easy, efficient.

    Ingredients:

1 tsp. angelica (colds and fevers)
    1 tsp. vervain (coughs)
    1 tsp. coltsfoot (headaches)
    1 tsp. eyebrite (congestion)
    1 tsp. passion flower (insomnia)
1 tsp. rose hips (high source of vitamin C)
1 tsp. Echinacea (rids the body of bacterial and viral infections)

    Preparation:

Enchant the herbs then crush them in mortar. Boil 5 cups of water. Pour
water into a large bowl, add herbs and stir well. Steep for an hour, but
stir the herbs every 15 minutes. At the end of the hour, strain infusion
into a large microwavable contai ner. Microwave infusion until it comes to a boil. Pour into a thermos that holds 4 cups.

Note: You will have to use 5 cups of water to come out with 4 cups as the herbs will absorb 1 cup of water. Also, this tea is a little bitter and
medicinal so add a lot of sugar or honey to it.

Important: In no way am I suggesting that you shouldn't go to a doctor when you are sick. You may wish to ask your doctor about herbal remedies.
